Job summary

Probe UK Limited is seeking a Vehicle Conversion Technician to develop and install specialist equipment across a range of vehicles. The role offers 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, life insurance and an Employee Assistance Programme.

You will perform vehicle surveys, data capture, fabrication and installation of conversion kits, and collaborate with the design team to validate new kits.

Qualifications

• Practical engineering experience with a strong mechanical focus.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering information (CAD experience is useful, but not essential).
• Knowledge of vehicle construction, components and functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and install specialist equipment across a range of vehicles.
• Combine vehicle surveys, data capture, fabrication, power tools and equipment installation, working closely with the design team to develop and validate new conversion kits.
• Work alongside the Engineer to develop new vehicle conversion kits.
• Carry out vehicle surveys, measurements and data capture.
• Check, maintain and validate engineering data.
• Fabricate and install specialist mobility equipment.
• Produce clear technical documentation and installation information.
• Support parts, kit and development activities.
