Andy File Associates Ltd in Doncaster is seeking experienced Conversion Van Engineers to join a growing workshop team. The role covers vehicle conversions, including measuring, cutting aluminium, floor and roof rack installations, and integration of equipment into light commercial vehicles.

You will work from drawings, sometimes independently, with in-house training available. The position offers a 4-day week Mon-Thu 06:30-17:00, free parking, and opportunities for progression within a thriving

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Prepare vehicles for installation of equipment.
• Install Ply lining kits, floors, and false floors.
• Install roof racks and internal vehicle racking.
• Fit seating and equipment into light commercial vehicles.
• Install equipment onto bare chassis for tippers, flatbeds, etc.
• Cut aluminium and other items; measure and prep for installation.
• Carry out some electrical work and receive training.
• Maintain workshop and premises for smooth operations.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as required by customers.

This is an exciting chance to join a thriving business in Doncaster. Our client has experienced rapid growth, expanding to additional premises, and taking on new members of staff over all departments.

They are now seeking experienced Conversion Van Engineers to join their team. They are working a 4 day week Monday to Thursday 06:30 - 17:00

This role shall cover all duties in the workshop conversion department and any additional or different duties in any department which the Company may require from time to time.

Key Tasks

• Preparation of vehicles for installation of various vehicle-based equipment.
• Working from drawings and using own initiative to carry out the conversion to the specifications.
• Installation of Ply lining kits.
• Installation of floors and false floors.
• Installation of roof racks.
• Installation of internal vehicle racking and any other storage equipment, units and boxed areas.
• Installation of seating and similar vehicle-based equipment into light commercial vehicles.
• Installation of equipment onto bare chassis to help build tippers, flatbeds, box vans and other types of vehicles.
• Cutting Aluminium and other items.
• Measuring, drilling and preparation of equipment for installation.
• Some electrical work will be required and trained.
• General upkeep of the workshop and premises to aid with the smooth running of the workshop and conversion of vehicles.
• Ad-hoc duties as and when required. Customer requested fitments.

• Flexible as the work can be varied.
• Have own basic hand tools and also be able to look after and care for any company tooling and equipment used.
• Effective communication and positive relations with employees at all levels within the organization and external contacts including customers and suppliers.
• Be competent at working alone or as part of a team.
• Experience in a similar field would be of benefit but not necessary as in house training can be given.
