E3 Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Builder for a specialist UK-based manufacturer. The role involves transforming light commercial vehicles into customer-specific van conversions in a modern workshop, installing electrical, mechanical and storage systems to high quality standards.

You will work 40 hours per week with a salary up to £34,000, 28 days holiday, birthday day off, two medical appointments paid per year, and other staff benefits. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing or vehicle conversions.
• Practical electrical knowledge relevant to van builds.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Good fault finding and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Build and convert light commercial vehicles to customer specifications.
• Install racking, storage systems and conversion equipment.
• Fit electrical components including lighting and battery management.
• Carry out repairs and modifications with occasional rare UK travel.
• Complete job cards and update work in internal systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop.
• Collaborate with Design & Development for product improvements.
• Report quality concerns to After Sales Manager.

Job description

Up to £16.24 an hr, 40 hours a week, 28 days holiday, birthday day off, x2 medical appointments paid per year, 100% attendance in 6 months gain an extra ½ a day holiday, Employee assistance Programme, sick pay.

We are looking for a Vehicle Builder to join a growing specialist manufacturer of bespoke LCV's. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a skilled team producing high-quality van conversions for customers across the UK.

As a Vehicle Builder, you'll be responsible for transforming light commercial vehicles into fully equipped, customer-specific solutions.

Working in a modern workshop, you'll install mechanical, electrical and storage systems while ensuring every build meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Builder Opportunity

• Build and convert light commercial vehicles to customer specifications.
• Install racking, storage systems and bespoke conversion equipment.
• Fit electrical components including internal and external lighting, battery management systems
• Carry out repairs and modifications to completed vehicle builds, including occasional UK travel with overnight stays (This will be on an adhoc very rare basis if the current field based engineer cant get to a customers site for what ever reason)
• Complete job cards and update work completed using the company's internal systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
• Work closely with the Design & Development team to support product improvements.
• Report technical or quality concerns to the After sales Manager.
