Job summary

Voluntary Action Surrey East (VASE) is seeking an experienced manager to lead organisational development support for local VCSE groups across East Surrey. You will supervise two staff, coordinate volunteering services and maintain robust internal systems to improve access to VASE's services.

You will also plan and deliver training, develop networks and produce clear reports for funders and trustees, while safeguarding and governance are kept at the forefront of day-to-day delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong experience supporting VCSE organisations with organisational development, volunteer management, governance, funding or sustainability.
• Strong experience in people management, including supervision, feedback, development and handling performance concerns.
• Ability to plan and coordinate several services or projects, manage workloads and translate complex issues into practical actions.
• Understanding of VCSE pressures facing charities and community groups, including small and grassroots organisations.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with trustees, staff, volunteers and stakeholders; ability to facilitate learning and produce clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead organisational development support and coordinate volunteering and admin functions with two direct reports.
• Plan and deliver accessible training, workshops, resources and peer learning for local VCSE organisations.
• Maintain operational relationships with councils, NHS colleagues, funders and community organisations.
• Oversee office workflows, enquiries, record keeping and service information across the team.
• Monitor delivery, budgets (within delegated authority) and risks, flagging issues to the Chief Executive.
