Job summary

Pro-Tax in the UK is seeking a VAT Compliance Assistant Manager to join the Gatwick region. You will manage UK VAT engagements, ensuring accurate returns, reconciliations, and reporting while liaising with clients for practical guidance.

You will monitor VAT changes, collaborate with IT and process teams to drive automation, and lead and develop junior staff, ensuring high standards of quality and risk management across engagements.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver UK VAT compliance engagements, including VAT return preparation and review, reconciliations, and related reporting.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and providing guidance on VAT compliance matters.
• Monitor changes in VAT legislation and HMRC guidance, ensuring up-to-date processes.
• Collaborate with technology and process specialists to enhance delivery through automation and data analytics.
• Lead, coach, and develop junior team members with strong risk management and client service.
