Job summary

Brown University Health in Newport, RI seeks a Vascular Technologist to perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound exams and deliver high-quality diagnostic images with excellent patient care. You will collaborate with radiologists and clinicians to support timely diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.

The role requires completion of a vascular-focused ultrasound program (CAAEP-accredited) and at least one year of clinical experience, with ARDMS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAEP-accredited ultrasound program with vascular concentration.
• One year of full-time clinical vascular ultrasound experience.
• Demonstrated ability to provide care to adult and geriatric patients with sensitivity to developmental differences.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-invasive vascular testing including duplex scanning and color flow imaging of extremities and cerebrovascular/abdominal vessels.
• Performs physiological arterial testing using plethysmography, segmental pressures, and Doppler waveforms.
• Explains procedures to patients and families; ensures safety and comfort.
• Maintains imaging protocols and lab standards to ensure quality and patient safety.
• Collaborates with radiologists, vascular specialists, nurses, and staff to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
• Participates in QA, accreditation activities, and continuing education.
