Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Vascular Rehabilitation Team at University Hospital Ayr on a permanent, part-time basis. The post supports rehabilitation for vascular insufficiency and lower limb amputation, with a caseload and opportunities to contribute to walking rehabilitation and prosthetic fitting sessions.

Based in Ayr, up to 25.2 hours weekly on weekdays. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with physiotherapy in a healthcare setting.
• Rehabilitation of adults with long term conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered Physiotherapy staff in rehabilitation of patients with vascular insufficiency and lower limb amputation.
• Assist with walking rehabilitation and prosthetic limb fitting sessions.
• Include non-clinical tasks such as cleaning, administration and ordering equipment.
