Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust is seeking a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join the acute Therapy team at Hereford County Hospital on a 6 month temporary basis. You will work with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and fellow Therapy Assistant Practitioners to deliver assessments, exercise programs and discharge planning, helping patients regain independence and mobility on the wards.

Qualifications

• Foundation degree or Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• English and Maths at Level 2 are required.
• Care Certificate completed or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Clinical experience within an AHP role is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality therapeutic care and support to patients, including those with complex needs.
• Independently plan and deliver individual or team tasks within role boundaries.
• Participate in planning discharge, goals and patient-specific exercise programmes.
• Contribute to service development and potential supervision of others where appropriate.
