Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran invites applications for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Vascular Rehabilitation Team on a permanent basis. The community post is based at University Hospital Ayr with up to 25.2 hours per week, weekdays, and a UK driving licence is essential.

You will assist registered physiotherapy staff in rehabilitation for vascular insufficiency and lower limb amputation, including walking rehabilitation and prosthetic limb fitting, along with non-clinical

Qualifications

• Experience with physiotherapy in a healthcare setting or rehabilitation of adults with long term conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist physiotherapy staff in rehabilitation of patients with vascular insufficiency and lower limb amputation.
• Assist with walking rehabilitation setup and prosthetic limb fitting sessions.
• Perform non-clinical tasks such as cleaning, administration and ordering equipment/supplies.
• Work independently and as part of a team; demonstrate good communication and motivation skills.
