Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in Nottingham is seeking a Vascular Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This is an internal vacancy only for NUH staff, ideal for a highly skilled clinician ready to lead vascular care across clinics and wards.

You will join a dynamic vascular clinical nurse practitioner team, involved in outpatient clinics, nurse-led reviews and service development; requires substantive NHS nursing experience and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• NMC Registration is essential.
• Degree level in Nursing or Healthcare.
• Non-Medical Prescriber status or working towards.
• MSC in Nursing or similar field.
• Assessor and Supervisor qualification.
• At least 2 years' vascular surgery experience.
• At least 5 years vascular experience.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to work across sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality vascular clinical care in outpatient and clinic settings.
• Lead nurse-led reviews and participate in service development.
• Collaborate with MDT and liaise with partners to ensure timely patient care.

Training and Qualifications (Essential)

• Must have NMC Registration
• Educated to Degree level in Nursing or Healthcare or working/committed to completing degree
• Committed to completing/working towards completing Non-Medical Prescribers course
• Committed to undertaking additional learning in vascular surgery
• MSC in Nursing or similar health specialism or working/committed to completing
• Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber
• Qualified Assessor and Supervisor for student nurses
• At least 2 years' experience in vascular surgery
• 5 years vascular experience

Communication and Relationship Skills (Essential)

• Basic computer skills
• Experience of communication within a Multi-Disciplinary Team
• Experience of communicating bad news and sensitive information

Analytical and Judgement Skills (Essential)
