Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting Emergency Clinical Practitioners for our Urgent Care/Walk-in services. You will provide autonomous, evidence-based care for injuries and undifferentiated conditions, collaborate with emergency services and other professionals, and contribute to service development.

The role involves shifts across operating hours (currently 8am–8pm) and requires extensive experience in urgent care or primary care settings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Registered Health Professional (physio, paramedic) with HCPC.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Masters level in Advanced Clinical Practitioner or willingness to work towards an MSc in Advanced Practice.
• Independent Prescriber (or on pathway to complete).
• Qualification in prehospital care or community care.
• Qualification in teaching or practice-based learning.

• University accredited paediatric advanced assessment module.
• Proven experience delivering autonomous unscheduled medical care and management.

Are you an experienced Clinical Practitioner passionate about working in Urgent Care or Walk in Services? Opportunities have arisen for Emergency Clinical Practitioners across our Central London Urgent Care/ Walk in Services.

Main duties of the job

• To provide high quality evidence-based care to patients attending with injuries and undifferentiated health problems.
• The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner delivering care to our patients.
• Utilising expert diagnostic skills and clinical reasoning to provide autonomous, unscheduled care for patients presenting with acute undifferentiated conditions (most commonly minor injuries and ailments although some patients attending may present with complex health needs and / or acute on chronic conditions).
• The post holder will deliver care in collaboration with Emergency services, other health care professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies.
• To work in association with colleagues, including doctors and trainee ACPs, in defining standards of care and practice aimed at maintaining, developing or improving quality.
• To work in collaboration with our other CLCH walk in centres/UCCs, including occasional cross cover to other sites.
• To work with the senior staff in the operational management and the organisational development of the service
• Work shifts within the service during the operating hours (Currently 8am-8pm, but noting that this could be subject to change dependent on commissioning requirements)
