Job summary

ISS Facilities Services is seeking a Variation & Lifecycle Fund Manager to lead Hard FM engineering operations within a healthcare PFI environment. You will manage all variations, projects and lifecycle works while ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery of engineering services and additional works.

Responsibilities include lifecycle financial control across the PFI estate, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical building services.
  • Mechanical or Electrical background with a relevant qualification (C&G Level 3, NVQ or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of commercial M&E systems.
  • Experience using CAFM and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.

  • Manage permits to work, risk assessments, COSHH requirements and healthcare technical guidance (HTM/HBN).

The successful candidate will manage all variations, projects and lifecycle works while ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of engineering services and additional works.

Job Description

We are looking for a compliance-driven professional to provide lifecycle financial control and strategic lifecycle support across the PFI estate.

Safety and compliance will be the highest priority, alongside effective operational, commercial and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead health, safety and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, company procedures and safe systems of work.

Manage permits to work, risk assessments, COSHH requirements and healthcare technical guidance (HTM/HBN).

Supervise engineering teams and oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities.

Maintain accurate CAFM records, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and manage technical documentation.

Manage spare parts, stock levels and external contractors while acting as the main technical point of contact.

Deliver variations and additional works from quotation through to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Support lifecycle planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting across the PFI estate, working with SPV partners and overseeing condition surveys.

Manage financial and commercial performance, including budgets, forecasting, invoicing, procurement and risk reporting, while leading and developing engineering staff.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience in technical building services.

Mechanical or Electrical background with a relevant qualification (C&G Level 3, NVQ or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of commercial M&E systems.

Experience using CAFM and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.

Strong problem-solving ability and self-motivated approach.

Compliance-focused with a strong safety-first mindset.

Professional, proactive, organised and resilient.

Confident communicator able to present solutions and recovery plans.
