This role involves managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation, robust financial control, and the delivery of high‑quality services.

Job Description

In this role, you will liaise with design teams, compile quotes, update additional works logs, procure subcontractors and materials, approve RAMS, and manage all variation and life cycle work.

Additionally, you will provide advice and support to ISS Service Managers, SPV, and Trust staff, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, and all relevant HTMs.
  • Take ownership of financial control — budgeting, forecasting, and highlighting cost pressures.
  • Lead design team collaboration, manage quotes, and deliver high‑quality contract variations and life cycle works.
  • Keep documentation tight and accurate, including monthly forecasts and purchasing records.
  • Guarantee timely project delivery and set up planned maintenance for new assets within CAFM systems.
  • Build strong, proactive relationships with Service Managers, client reps, and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as the Authorised Person for designated disciplines, ensuring full statutory compliance for Hard FM services.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experienced in Hard FM / technical building services
  • Mechanical or Electrical background
  • Proven experience in budgeting / forecasting
  • Ability to identify and manage cost pressures.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams.
  • Holder of a recognised qualification (C&G Level 3 / NVQ or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of commercial M&E systems.
  • Confident user of CAFM and Permit‑to‑Work systems.
  • Strong track record in subcontractor management.
  • A self‑starter who thrives on solving problems.
  • Professional, proactive, organised, and resilient under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator and great stakeholder management skills.
