Job summary

South Gloucestershire & Stroud College is seeking a part-time Carpentry lecturer to join the Adult Vocational team at the Stroud Campus. The role focuses on delivering Level 2 site carpentry and supporting learners in achieving progression.

You will monitor progress, stay updated with industry developments, and ensure compliance with quality, safeguarding and health and safety practices. Applications close 29th July 2026, interviews on 14th August 2026.

  • Industry experience in site carpentry.
  • Teaching or assessor qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Excellent communication skills and a learner-focused attitude.
  • Passionate about the future of the construction industry.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching in site carpentry skills.

FTE Salary: Up to £35,793.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: 0 hour contract, fixed term until 31st August 2027

Working Hours: Part time, 2 evenings a week
