Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is currently assisting a leading UK vehicle hire and fleet management business in recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team in Glasgow. The role focuses on servicing, maintenance and repair of light commercial vehicles and vans, with a view to reliability and safety across a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
