Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician to service and repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles to the highest standards. The role emphasizes safe, economical diagnostic work and adherence to brand guidelines.

You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems, complete job cards, and support fellow technicians while keeping up with Star diagnosis tools. Full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3).
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong technical background in automotive repair and service.
• Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

To service and repair vehicles in a safe and economical manner employing such skills and knowledge as may be required, including the ability to diagnose fault with the minimum supervision.

To service, adjust and repair vehicles or components using the tools and equipment provided in safe and proper way, efficiently and within the allocated time and to the required standard.

Main Responsibilities

Monday to Friday 1.00pm to 10.30pm (45 hour working week)

Shift allowance in addition : £6,500 per annum

Bonus: Monthly individual Productivity Bonus of up to £850 per month (£10,200 per annum)
