Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van is the leading Mercedes-Benz distributor in the United Kingdom, employing over five hundred staff. The Technicians service and repair vehicles to Mercedes-Benz standards, using diagnostic tools and Star diagnosis software.

The role involves 40 hours per week with alternating shifts (0600-1430 or 1330-2200) and includes a shift allowance. A discretionary bonus scheme and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing vehicle problems while adhering to Mercedes-Benz guidelines.

• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required.
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately.

Job Overview

To service and repair vehicles in a safe and economical manner employing such skills and knowledge as may be required, including the ability to diagnose fault with the minimum supervision.

To service, adjust and repair vehicles or components using the tools and equipment provided in safe and proper way, efficiently and within the allocated time and to the required standard.

Our Technicians work Monday - Friday alternating between 0600-1430 & 1330-2200. / 40 hours per week.

The hourly rate for this role is £17-£22.50p/h depending on experience and a £20 shift allowance per late shift is also applied.

The bonus scheme offers up to £850pm / £10200 annual equiv.
