Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van is seeking a skilled vehicle technician to service and repair Mercedes-Benz cars and vans in a busy workshop in Hatfield. You will diagnose faults, maintain systems, and perform repairs with safety and efficiency, following Mercedes-Benz guidelines.

The role covers electrical and mechanical work, using diagnostic tools, completing job cards, and supporting colleagues. Monday to Friday 1:00pm–10:30pm, 45 hours weekly, with a 30-minute unpaid break and shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence
• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong technical background in automotive repair and service
• Good communication skills
• Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment
• Driving Licence: Yes

Job Overview:

To service and repair vehicles in a safe and economical manner employing such skills and knowledge as may be required, including the ability to diagnose fault with the minimum supervision. To service, adjust and repair vehicles or components using the tools and equipment provided in safe and proper way, efficiently and within the allocated time and to the required standard.
