Job summary

SAGA Truck & Van in Sittingbourne, part of the SAGA Mercedes-Benz network, is seeking a proactive Parts Assistant to support technicians and customers with sourcing and ordering parts.

You will maintain stock records, use Excel and dealer systems, liaise with workshop, and deliver a first-class service. The role offers a discretionary bonus, generous annual leave, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of vans and trucks and experience in parts handling.
• Experience delivering customer service to a high standard.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisation and the ability to work under pressure.
• IT skills with familiarity of dealer systems; experience with ADP Autoline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and technicians in identifying and sourcing correct parts efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of parts inventory using Microsoft Excel and other tools.
• Process incoming and outgoing parts orders with timely delivery and stock accuracy.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers and suppliers.
• Support maintenance activities by organising parts for repairs and servicing.
• Keep the parts department clean, organised and well-stocked.
• Liaise with other departments to coordinate parts availability and delivery schedules.
• Offer advice on maintenance procedures related to parts when required.
• Liaise with the workshop to ensure the correct parts are available.
• Build relationships and deliver first-class service to customers.

Your Responsibilities

Job Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Experience of delivering customer service to a high standard

• Good IT skills, experience of working with Parts systems would be an advantage.
