Job summary

Perfect Placement is representing a reputable fleet maintenance company recruiting a Van Technician in Wickford, Essex. You will service, repair, and maintain light commercial vehicles, handling brakes, clutches, suspensions, and turbo work while managing a high-volume workload.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm, with optional Saturday overtime and a supportive team environment focused on quality and safety. A full UK driving licence is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs on light commercial vehicles including Vivaro, Sprinter, Crafters, and utility vehicles.
• Handle brake, clutch, timing belt, suspension, and turbo repairs.
• Perform warranty work and some gearbox repairs (outsourced outside warranty).
• Manage a high-volume workload, servicing over 20 vehicles per day as a Van Technician.
• Follow company procedures to ensure vehicle safety, quality, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate diagnostic and repair records.
• Ensure timely completion of repair jobs within specified deadlines.
