A Wickford-based fleet maintenance company is seeking a skilled Van Technician to join their team. The role offers a competitive base salary up to £41,000 per annum, plus a quarterly bonus up to £3,000 after six months and overtime opportunities.

Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 5.30pm, with an optional Saturday overtime slot from 8.00am to 12.30pm. The role involves servicing a high-volume workload within a supportive team focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good time management to handle high-volume workload.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and repair on light commercial vehicles (Vivaro, Sprinter, Crafters, etc).
• Handle brake, clutch, timing belt, suspension and turbo repairs.
• Perform warranty work and some gearbox repairs (outsourced outside warranty).
• Manage a high-volume workload, servicing over 20 vehicles per day.
• Follow procedures to ensure vehicle safety, quality and compliance.
• Maintain accurate diagnostic and repair records and timely completion of jobs.

• - Perform warranty work and some gearbox repairs (outsourced outside warranty)
• - Manage a high-volume workload, servicing over 20 vehicles per day as a Van Technician
• - Follow company procedures to ensure vehicle safety, quality, and compliance
• - Maintain accurate diagnostic and repair records
• - Ensure timely completion of repair jobs within specified deadlines
