Job summary

HTC in the UK is seeking a skilled vehicle technician to join our team in Hemel Hempstead. You will diagnose faults, service and repair vehicles, and complete all required documentation to manufacturer standards while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

A flexible shift pattern and a £2,000 signing bonus are available for direct applicants. We value clear communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning new techniques.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or ten years' experience.
• Own a valid driving licence and provide your own toolkit.
• Able to communicate clearly and work with colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and diagnosing faults in vehicles.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Complete documentation to meet company and manufacturer standards.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction at all times.
• Update skills and knowledge through training programmes.
• Service and repair new and used vehicles to brand standards.
• Work methodically and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time.

Main duties:

• Fault finding and diagnosing faults.
• Test drive vehicles.
• Complete all documentation in line with company and manufacturer requirements.
• To maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction at all times.
• To maintain and update your individual experience, skills and knowledge through training programmes.
• Servicing and repairs on new and used vehicles in accordance with the brands technical standards.
• Using a methodical approach.
• Ensure all work is completed on time, economically and efficiently whilst complying with all health and safety legislation.
• Be committed to achieving full customer satisfaction by completing each task accurately and skillfully.

The ideal candidate:

• The ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally. Always listens effectively and asks questions to ensure full understanding.
• Works with others to build positive relationships in order to achieve a common goal. Provides and requests support from colleagues where applicable.
• Clearly understands customer's needs and delivers effective solutions to match these needs.
• Effectively resolves customer issues as required and presents a positive image of the company to the customer.
• Have a flexible approach to work commitments and the ability to adapt behaviour and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles whilst maintaining effectiveness.
• Have NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification, or have a minimum of ten years experience. You will be required to provide your own tool-kit and be in possession of a valid driving licence.
