Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a Van Pack Operative in North & Central Wales to support the maintenance of wastewater networks. The role involves outdoor work, operating high-pressure water jetting equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication. Candidates should ideally possess a full UK driving licence and any relevant safety training. Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience with WJA Red or Blue Book is desirable.
• Knowledge of Manual Handling and Emergency First Aid is helpful.
• Familiarity with NRSWA and EUSR National Water Hygiene is a plus.
• Medium Risk Confined Space training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and repair of wastewater networks.
• Attend customer locations and communicate planned works.
• Inspect drainage systems for blockages, leaks or issues.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment.
• Assist with CCTV surveys as needed.
• Complete digital data entry using devices.
• Report safety issues according to company procedures.

We’re expanding! Following a recent contract win, Lanes Group is recruiting Van Pack Operatives across North & Central Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering industry‑leading drainage solutions while supporting one of our most exciting clients and contributing to AMP8 objectives. About the Role

Salary: £12.71 - £13 per hour depending on experience

Working hours: 45 hours per week, with on call duties

Location: Kimnel Bay

Responsibilities

As a Van Pack Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operational delivery, supporting the maintenance and repair of wastewater networks. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

Customer Interaction

• Attending customer locations and communicating planned works
• Answering questions and providing reassurance on site

Drainage Operations

• Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues
• Operating high‑pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems
• Adjusting pressure levels based on blockage type (e.g., grease, debris, roots)
• Assisting with CCTV surveys when required
• Reporting all findings/data accurately back to operational teams

Data & Safety

• Completing digital data entry using a laptop or tablet
• Reporting safety issues in line with company procedures
• Performing routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment
