Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their client’s team in Borehamwood. The role focuses on servicing, maintenance and repair of light commercial vehicles and vans, ensuring fleet reliability and safety.

You will work Monday to Friday with optional overtime; a Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds is preferred and a full UK driving licence. The position offers a competitive salary with bonus and ongoing training within a large national business.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
