Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd in Huntingdon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service and repair vans and light commercial vehicles. You will join a busy workshop, with a Monday to Friday schedule and optional overtime, and play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability.

The role offers a competitive salary (£38k base with £44k OTE), training, and progression within a large national business. Relevant Level 3 NVQ/City & Guilds and strong diagnostic skills are preferred, along with a full UK

Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
Proven experience as Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
