Job summary

Driver Hire Bury St Edmunds & Ipswich is seeking a Van + Towing Driver to join our client’s team in Bury St Edmunds. Start ASAP on a temporary to permanent contract with a competitive pay structure and a range of benefits.

You will drive a flatbed/4x4 vehicle, tow trailers, and work Monday to Friday from 7am starts. You’ll gain upskilling opportunities and a guaranteed daily start, with wide delivery areas across East of England and Northamptonshire.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK manual licence.
• Experience with towing and securing loads.
• Proactive, able to work on own initiative.
• No more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements on licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van or 4x4 and tow trailers on assigned routes.
• Deliver in East of England region with occasional Northamptonshire areas.
• Maintain safety, proper loading and securing using ratchet straps.

Van + Towing Driver

Pay rate: £14 per hour

Contract: Type: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Bury St Edmunds

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for Van + Towing Driver to start ASAP for our client based in Bury St Edmunds, with all the support from our experienced Driver Hire team.

The successful Van + Towing Driver will receive:

While working for Driver Hire:

£13.50 basic

When Permanent with the client

£28,500 | overtime x1.5

End of Year performance bonus.

Guaranteed 8.5hrs per day.

28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.

Upskilling to HGV, ADR and HIAB after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Van + Towing Driver:

Working Monday to Friday on 7am starts, you will be driving a flatbed van or 4x4 car and towing a trailer. On the trailer could be canteens, temporary office spaces or welfare units.

Delivery areas are East of England and Northamptonshire.

Must have experience with ratchet straps and towing.

As a Van + Towing Driver you must:

This position is commutable from Stowmarket, Ipswich, Thetford, Diss and other areas nearby to Bury St Edmunds.
