Swift Temps Ltd is recruiting a Postal Delivery Worker in Stroud. You will start in the local delivery office, sort mail and collect your vehicle or trolley, then deliver letters and parcels to your community.

You'll work outdoors in all weather, with shifts from 08:00–16:00 or 13:00–21:00, totaling 30-40 hours per week. A full UK manual driving licence and a DBS check are required; driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience preferred but not essential.
• DBS check required before starting.
• Full UK manual driving licence with max 6 penalty points.

• Location: Stroud
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week, with Saturday/Sunday requirements as per the depot's requirements. Currently 2 shifts available - 08:00 till 16:00 and 13:00 till 21:00
• Hourly Rate: £13.69 per hour PAYE basic and £14.38 Overtime

About the Postal Delivery Worker role:

You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route. You will collect your allocated vehicle or trolley and your hand-held computer device (detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the letters and parcels to your local community.

About You:

• The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.
• You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
• Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.
• You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.

Previous Experience:

• Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
• You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.
