Job summary

PalmerSport, the leading operator of prestige corporate motorsport events and operator of the Bedford Autodrome circuit complex, is looking for a flexible part-time Van Driver to join our Engineering & Parts Department.

You will collect and deliver components and equipment from suppliers across the UK, supporting both the PalmerSport fleet and GB3 and GB4 motor racing championships. This is a varied role with regular driving, loading/unloading, and occasional travel to MSV's UK circuits.

Qualifications

• A valid full Class B driving licence is required.
• Experience driving a range of vans is preferred.
• Towing trailers experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Load items onto vehicles for distribution.
• Collect and deliver components and equipment to UK suppliers.
• Occasional travel to MSV circuits (Brands Hatch, Donington Park, etc.).
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Complete relevant delivery paperwork accurately.
• Plan routes and help optimise logistics.
• Ensure vehicles and deliveries are handled safely and responsibly.

Working as part of the team, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering components and equipment from suppliers across the UK, supporting both the PalmerSport fleet and the GB3 and GB4 motor racing championships.

This is a varied role, involving regular driving, loading and unloading, and occasional travel to MSV's UK circuits. It would suit someone who enjoys working independently, is organised and takes pride in getting the right items to the right place safely and on time.

The role will include:

• Loading items onto vehicles ready for distribution
• Collecting and delivering components and equipment to and from UK-based suppliers
• Occasional travel to MSV circuits, including Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
• Completing relevant delivery and collection paperwork
• Planning routes and helping to optimise logistics
• Ensuring vehicles and deliveries are handled safely and responsibly

About you:

You will hold a full Class B driving licence and have previous experience driving a range of vehicles, including long-wheelbase vans. Experience towing trailers would also be beneficial.

The ability to drive larger commercial vehicles would be an advantage, having a CPC licence would widen the scope of work available, although this is not essential for the core role.

This is a flexible part-time position, with working days varying between 2-5 days per week depending on the season and operational requirements.
