Typical pay is £12.71 per hour (Mon–Fri) plus £25 per night out, with Travelodge accommodation and meal allowances provided. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5T van and complete multi-drop deliveries nationwide.

• Perform kerbside deliveries, not taking items inside properties.
• Load/unload vehicle safely and manage delivery paperwork.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain delivery schedules.
• Provide a professional, friendly service to customers.

3.5T Multi-Drop Van Driver

Location: Chorley
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday
Night-Out Payment: £25 per night, plus hotel and meal expenses

Driver Hire Preston are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced 3.5T Multi-Drop Van Driver.

This role involves nationwide deliveries of kitchen appliances to a mixture of trade premises and direct-to-site locations. We are looking for an experienced and reliable driver who is comfortable with multi-drop work, nationwide travel and regular nights away from home.

The Role

Duties will include:

• Driving a 3.5T van and completing multi-drop deliveries nationwide
• Delivering kitchen appliances to trade premises and direct-to-site locations
• Completing kerbside deliveries - goods are delivered as close to the front door or delivery point as reasonably possible but are not taken inside the property
• Loading and unloading the vehicle safely
• Ensuring goods are handled carefully and delivered in good condition
• Completing relevant delivery paperwork
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Working to planned delivery routes and schedules

Nights Out

Drivers operate on a three-week rota which includes regular overnight stays.

You will usually complete one night out per week, with two nights out every third week.

For each night out:

• Travelodge accommodation is booked and paid for
• Up to £22 towards an evening meal
• Up to £8 towards breakfast
• An additional £25 night-out payment paid through your wages

What We're Looking For

Applicants must:

• Hold a valid UK Category B driving licence
• Have previous multi-drop delivery experience
• Be comfortable with nationwide driving
• Be willing to complete regular overnight stays
• Be physically capable of handling kitchen appliances
• Have good communication and customer service skills
• Be reliable, punctual and professional
• Be aged 25 or over due to the client's vehicle insurance requirements

Pay

£12.71 per hour - Monday to Friday

Plus £25 per night out, hotel accommodation and meal allowances.
