Job summary

Swift Temps Ltd is seeking an experienced Van Driver to handle daily deliveries of building materials in a fast-paced route-based role. Start times begin at 6:00am with 45–50 hours per week across Monday to Friday.

The position requires up to 10 drops daily, use of a PDA to scan deliveries, and careful handling of building materials. A temp-to-perm opportunity is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and organised.
• Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience is required.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience delivering building materials or similar products would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily building materials to customers following an allocated route.
• Complete up to 10 drops per day and operate a PDA/handheld to scan deliveries.
• Ensure deliveries are made safely and on time, handling materials as required.

• Working Days: Monday to Friday

• Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour
• Deliveries: Up to 10 drops per day
• Temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

About the Van Driver role:

You will be responsible for completing daily deliveries of building materials to customers, following an allocated route and ensuring all deliveries are made safely and on time.

The role will involve up to 10 drops per day. You will also be required to use a PDA/handheld device to scan deliveries and update delivery information throughout your route.

Due to the physical nature of the role, you will need to be reasonably fit and comfortable handling and moving building materials as part of your daily duties.
