Job summary

First Fence Limited is seeking an attentive driver to manage timely nationwide collections and deliveries across the UK. You will perform daily vehicle checks, carry out essential basic maintenance, and ensure correct paperwork is filed with the office promptly, while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

You will work independently with strong geographic knowledge, adapt to flexible start times, and contribute as a supportive team member.

Qualifications

• Timely and accurate collection/delivery of products across the UK.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to keep vehicles roadworthy.
• Complete correct paperwork accurately and hand to office promptly.
• Raise any quality/quantity errors to line Manager immediately.
• Follow Health and Safety practices, RAMS, and site procedures.

Responsibilities

Job description

Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisor

Our drivers are the face of First Fence, you are the final link in the customer

journey and key to ensuring that our customers receive a 5 star service each

and every time.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate collection/delivery of products throughout the UK.
• Responsible and accountable for daily vehicle checks.
• Responsible for basic maintenance of equipment to ensure roadworthy at all times (bulbs, oil top up etc, all parts are provided)
• Report any defects on any equipment that you are using to your line Manager.
• Goods and materials loaded by you/for you are checked for accuracy and quality.
• Goods and materials loaded by you/for you are loaded safely and securely.
• Follow and comply with all Health and Safety practices, policies, procedures and relevant Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Correct paperwork to be completed accurately and handed to office as soon as possible.
• All errors relating to quality and quantity are to be raised immediately to your line Manager.
• Undertake any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.
