Job summary

Best Time Limited in Guildford is recruiting reliable Van Delivery Drivers to cover our Guildford site with the potential for regular ongoing assignments. There may also be opportunities to work from the sister site in Basingstoke depending on business requirements.

Role duties include multi-drop deliveries to business customers across the South of England, including London, with loading/unloading, handheld scanner usage and professional customer service at delivery points.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Van delivery/multi-drop experience preferred.
• Ability to follow routes and work independently.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically able to load and unload goods.

Responsibilities

• Make multi-drop deliveries to business customers.
• Deliver across the South of England including London.
• Load and unload the van and perform vehicle checks.
• Use handheld scanner to record deliveries.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery points.

Best Time is recruiting on behalf of our client for reliable Van Delivery Drivers to provide ad hoc cover from their Guildford site, with the potential for regular ongoing assignments for suitable and reliable drivers.

There may also be opportunities to work from the client's sister site in Basingstoke, depending on business requirements.

The Role

• Making multi-drop deliveries to business customers
• Delivering across the South of England, including London
• Driving on busy urban roads and London routes
• Loading and unloading the van
• Using a handheld scanner to record deliveries
• Ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time
• Providing professional customer service at delivery points
• Completing vehicle checks and keeping the van clean and tidy

About You

• Full UK driving licence
• Previous van delivery or multi-drop experience preferred
• Confident driving on busy London roads
• Comfortable using a handheld scanner
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit, as loading and unloading is required
• Able to work independently and manage your time effectively
