Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting a van courier multi-drop driver for a depot near Lincoln. This PAYE role involves permanent route duties with immediate start and potential progression to permanent placement.

Requirements include a full UK licence, ability to deliver 80–100 parcels daily, references for last 5 years, and DBS clearance. Driver will load/unload and drive both short and long wheel base vans, with DBS paid by us.

• Able to deliver 80–100 parcels daily.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 minor points.
• Provide checkable references for last 5 years.
• Over 21 for insurance purposes.
• DBS check required and paid by employer.
• Competent in driving both short and long wheel base vans.
• Physically fit for loading and unloading the van.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-drop deliveries across a defined local route.
• Load and unload parcels when required.
• Maintain safe driving practices and daily vehicle checks.

Job description

Our client is a global leader in logistics and aviation freight transport and have a depot based in Witham St Hughs near Lincoln which covers the local region with their courier services.

We have an opportunity to recruit a van driver to start immediately and continuing on a temporary to permanent basis. The work is as a van courier multi drop delivery driver on a permanent route.

Applicants must be able to meet the following criteria :

• Have previous courier multi drop or similar fast paced van delivery experience.
• Be capable of delivering 80 to 100 parcels daily.
• Hold a full UK licence with no more than 6 minor points.
• Provide checkable references to cover the last 5 years including work history, references and address history.
• Be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes.
• Candidates must be prepared to have a DBS check carried out prior to commencing work as part of the induction process. (We pay for this).
• Candidates must be competent in safely driving both short and long wheel base vans.
• Candidates must be physically fit and be involved in loading and unloading their van.

1ST 42.5 HOURS OF THE WEEK £ 14.25 PER HOUR

AFTER 45 HOURS OF £ 21.38 PER HOUR
