Job summary

The Crown Estate is seeking a performance and valuation specialist to shape how portfolio performance is understood and communicated. You will coordinate external valuations, provide actionable insight into drivers of returns and risks, and lead high-quality performance reporting across asset classes.

You will champion automation, translate complex valuation outputs for senior leadership, and work with Finance, SBUs and advisers to evolve the Performance Measurement operating model.

Qualifications

• Valuation professional with substantial experience as a RICS qualified valuer.
• Skilled Argus Enterprise user, confident in traditional and DCF approaches.
• Advanced Excel and BI tools experience; Power BI preferred.
• Extensive experience in managing regular valuation processes and portfolio reporting.
• Strong quantitative skills with cash flow modelling and appraisals.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and oversight of external valuation activity across a £13bn+ portfolio.
• Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on valuation outcomes and risks.
• Manage external valuer appointments and tender processes.
• Lead relationship with MSCI for total return reporting across assets.
• Analyse portfolio performance and advise on drivers and opportunities.
• Champion use of Power BI and AI-enabled automation to improve reporting.
