Job summary

The Crown Estate in London seeks a Senior Finance Analyst to own cost reporting, forecasting and performance insight across Portfolio Operations. You will partner with teams to drive disciplined spending and informed decision-making, supported by advanced Excel and BI tooling.

Responsibilities include monthly cost reports, budgets, dashboards, variance analysis and scenario modelling, with collaboration across stakeholders to ensure governance and robust forecasts.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent professional finance experience.
• Experience in operational finance or property management desirable.
• High level of analytical capability with advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail with curiosity to understand cost drivers and operational trends.
• Clear communicator able to explain financial information in a straightforward, accessible way.
• Collaborative team player who builds positive working relationships.
• Comfortable engaging with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of detailed tracking and reporting of operational costs across the portfolio.
• Forecast, budget and develop dashboards to a high standard.
• Analyse variances, provide clear commentary and identify risks and opportunities.
• Support long-term planning with trend analysis and scenario modelling.
• Create standardised reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure governance and policy adherence.
