Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking a Diesel Engine Validation Engineer to plan and deliver validation activities for new diesel engine technology. Based in Stafford, this twelve-month contract involves data analysis, defining validation plans, and coordinating test and analysis work within a small multi-skilled team.

The role requires engineering qualification, experience with 8D root cause analysis, and proficiency with CANape/CANcase data tools, plus strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience writing validation plans and test instructions.
• Familiar with the 8D method and root cause analysis tools (5-Why, fishbone, FMEA).
• Knowledge of diesel engine subsystems (cooling, turbocharging, lubrication, air).
• Experience with data analysis tools (CANape, CANcase).
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and technical reporting.

Job description

As a Diesel Engine Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engineering activity. This role involves validation of new diesel engine technology and systems, analysing data and trends, root cause corrective action and validation of corrective actions. You will be flexible, working on a wide variety of projects within a small multi-skilled team. As a Diesel Engine Validation Engineer you will be familiar with these activities. Stafford Twelve-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical verification and validation of diesel engine components and systems.
• Defining and managing component validation plans.
• Coordination of day-to-day engineering activity and management of test and analysis activity.
• Failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methods.
• Technical reporting.

Skills and experience for success
