Job summary

Catering is seeking a Validation Engineer in Stafford for end-to-end verification of industrial diesel engines. The role focuses on product validation for power density and emissions, offering ownership of validation methods and accelerated testing approaches.

Location: fully onsite in Stafford, 37 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday 08:00–13:00. Salary: £30–£35 per hour. Contract duration: 12 months with extension potential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in product validation, verification, testing, or development engineering.
• Industry experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial machine development is highly transferable.
• Practical engine robustness evaluation experience and knowledge of internal combustion development.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting test data and applying root cause analysis methods (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, 6s).
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as FMEA and DVP&R.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for delivering results to varying audiences.

Validation Engineer

Location: Stafford

Duration: 12-month initial contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.

We are seeking a Validation Engineer to independently deliver end-to-end verification and validation projects for industrial diesel engines. The position focuses on product validation for new development projects surrounding power density and emissions. This is an opportunity to take ownership of product validation and help shape improved validation methodologies using accelerated testing.

Working Conditions

Location Model: Fully onsite in Stafford (5 days a week).

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30; Friday 08:00 – 13:00.
