Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Newbury is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Car Mechanic to join our premier automotive group. You will perform maintenance and repairs on VAG vehicles, using dealer-grade diagnostics and strictly adhering to manufacturer standards.

We offer a high basic salary up to £45,000 with an uncapped bonus structure and clear internal promotion paths. Official VAG manufacturer training, High-Voltage EV/Hybrid qualifications, tool insurance, and pension benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) required.
• A full UK driving licence is essential. MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.
• F-Gas certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute expert maintenance and repairs across the VAG range to manufacturer standards.
• Utilize dealer-level diagnostic equipment to locate, investigate and repair faults.
• Work with EV and Hybrid technology, including high-voltage systems and electric drivetrains.
• Deliver first-time fixes and maintain digital job records with a supportive team.
