Job summary

Hawk Hiring is partnering with a premier independent garage in Coventry to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician with VAG expertise.

You will service and repair VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat with ODIS and VAG tools, perform diagnostics, and keep high standards of workmanship.

The role offers a salary of £35,000–£45,000 per year (DOE) plus a bonus, a Mon-Fri schedule with no weekends, and generous holiday and pension provisions.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or time-served equivalent).
• Proven track record as Vehicle Technician or VAG Specialist in a garage environment.
• Strong diagnostic fault-finding talent and complete tool confidence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and VHC inspections across VAG models.
• Execute complex mechanical and electrical repairs including engine overhauls, timing belts/chains, clutches, and suspension.
• Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic systems (ODIS) and root-cause analysis.
• Carry out pre-MOT inspections and high-standard vehicle prep work.
• Maintain clear electronic job records and ensure right-first-time quality.

• Technical Capability: Strong diagnostic fault-finding talent, complete tool confidence, and high attention to detail
• Mindset: Quality-focused professional who takes genuine pride in clean craftsmanship
• Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
