Job summary

Grainger plc in London seeks a senior Facilities Manager to lead facilities and project management with strong health, safety and environmental awareness. You will oversee hard and soft facilities services, refurbishment projects and monitor contractor performance to deliver stakeholder value.

The role requires formal FM qualifications, membership of a recognized body, and extensive prior experience at a senior FM level, plus knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Formal professional qualification in building, engineering or construction with a recognised FM qualification.
  • Member of IWFM/M CIOB MRICS IFMA IOSH or equivalent.
  • Extensive senior-level experience in Facilities Management.
  • Knowledge of fire safety legislation and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Responsibilities

  • Set and maintain high standards for facilities/health, safety & environmental management throughout the business.
  • Assist in the management of the entire portfolio Statutory Maintenance obligations.
  • Create and maintain PPM, life cycle schedules and costings. Ensure all documentation is stored and CAFM systems kept up to date.
  • Forecasting annual expenditures on enhancement, proactive and reactive maintenance.

Job description

Provide facilities and project management experience with additional health and safety / environmental skills to deliver strategic and tactical support to the business.

Assist in managing the provision of hard and soft facilities management, refurbishment / refresh projects and monitor service providers and contractor’s performance

Skills & Experience Required:

Ideally hold a formal professional qualification in building, engineering or construction supported with a recognised qualification in Facilities Management and preferably within the field of Health, Safety and/or Environmental Management.

Member of a recognised professional body i.e. IWFM (BIFM), MCIOB, MRICS, IFMA, IOSH or equivalent.

Extensive experience at a senior level in Facilities Management

Knowledge of fire safety legislation and the application of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
