Job summary

Grenville Engineering in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an experienced Skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our factory team. The role requires fabricating from start to finish, reading drawings, and applying precise MIG welding up to 12mm.

Ideal candidates have 10 years of fabrication and welding experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently from engineering drawings. TIG welding experience is a plus, with a broad range of production tasks within the team.

Qualifications

• Ten years’ fabrication and welding experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work to tolerances.
• MIG welding of mild steel up to 12mm.
• Hand and air tool proficiency.
• TIG welding experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to perform other Production Team tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture components.
• Fabricate parts from start to finish using MIG and TIG welding where required.
• Work independently with attention to detail to produce high-quality work.
• Operate hand and air tools and maintain equipment.
• Assist with other production tasks as needed.

To sustain our continued growth, we are recruiting for an experienced, Skilled Fabricator/Welder to work in our factory in Stoke-on-Trent. Grenville Engineering (Stoke-on-Trent) Ltd has a strong employment record spanning almost 40 years. We are a rapidly expanding sheet metal fabrication company with potential opportunities for the right candidate.

To be considered for our position, you must possess the below attributes:

• The ability to understand/read technical drawings; Accurately measuring and working to tolerances.
• Must be able to complete a job from start to finish. Using multiple engineering practices
• Fully experienced in MIG welding mild steel up to 12mm thickness.
• Competent with all hand and air tools.
• It would be advantageous if candidates could TIG weld as well.
• Any other tasks required by Production Team
