Job summary

Breast Cancer Now is building a new UX team in London and seeking a design-led professional to lead interaction design, information architecture and prototyping. You’ll work with a small team reporting to the Head of UX, shaping the way users access health information and support.

Expect WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, inclusive design, and collaboration with clinical colleagues. Hybrid work up to 3 days remote from the London office, and a supportive learning budget.

Qualifications

• Experience designing digital products or services in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong interaction design, prototyping and information architecture skills.
• Practical commitment to accessibility and inclusive design.
• Hands-on research experience and comfort with data.
• Able to interrogate briefs and propose scope and approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead on interaction design, information architecture, prototyping and our design system from concepts to developer-ready detail.
• Design to WCAG 2.2 AA, test with assistive technology, avoid urgency or pressure.
• Plan research with the user researcher and data insights manager, define measurable outcomes.
• Interrogate briefs and define the question, scope, approach and timeline.
• Run own workstream, run workshops and critiques, and communicate clearly for non-designers.
• Collaborate with external development partners and health professionals on health information.
