Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Utility Surveyor to join the North West team, working from Warrington/Manchester. You’ll conduct underground utility detection and mapping surveys using GPR, EML, and CAT & Genny, ensuring accuracy and safety across projects in the North West.

Qualifications

• Experience undertaking underground utility detection and mapping surveys.
• Familiar with using GPR, electromagnetic locators and CAT & Genny equipment.
• Working knowledge of PAS 128 standards and utility survey methodologies.
• Experience interpreting survey results and recording underground service information.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar surveying/data-processing software.
• Understanding health and safety requirements around live construction sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking underground utility detection and mapping surveys in accordance with PAS 128 standards.
• Using GPR, electromagnetic locators and CAT & Genny to identify and trace buried services.
• Locating and mapping underground utilities including gas, water, electricity, telecoms and drainage networks.
• Reviewing existing utility records and interpreting survey findings to identify discrepancies or unidentified services.
• Recording, processing and interpreting survey data to produce accurate utility drawings/reports.
• Identifying hazards and reporting areas needing further investigation.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and site teams to ensure surveys are completed safely and on time.
• Ensuring all activities comply with health and safety procedures and industry standards.
