Job summary

Tailored Talent Ltd. is seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to deliver utility mapping, GPR surveys, topographic and measured surveys across the Midlands with a strong focus on safety and client satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on fieldwork on live construction sites, CAT & Genny and PAS 128 proficiency, and a valid UK driving licence. A comprehensive benefits package and remote working options may be available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Utility Surveyor.
• Proficient with CAT & Genny and GPR systems.
• Working knowledge of PAS 128 utility survey standards.
• Competent in AutoCAD; experience with Leica or Trimble equipment.
• Full UK driving licence — essential for this role.
• CSWIP, NRSWA, or utility-specific certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct utility detection surveys using CAT, Genny, and GPR equipment
• Produce accurate utility mapping data to PAS 128 specification
• Carry out topographic and measured surveys to support utility projects
• Interpret and process field data using AutoCAD and relevant survey software
• Liaise with clients on-site to manage expectations and deliverables
• Complete site risk assessments and adhere to health and safety requirements

As a Utility Surveyor, you will work closely with the survey team and project managers, taking ownership of utility detection and mapping fieldwork, producing deliverables to client specification, and supporting the safe and accurate delivery of survey programmes across a range of active sites working on sites nationwide around the Midlands area.
