Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Utility Surveyor to join its North West team, based from Warrington/Manchester. You'll undertake underground utility detection and mapping surveys across the North West, using GPR, EM locators and CAT & Genny in line with PAS 128.

The role suits surveyors at various career stages and offers a varied workload across infrastructure projects, with a company vehicle and opportunities for technical development.

Qualifications

• Experience undertaking underground utility detection and mapping surveys.
• Good practical experience using GPR, electromagnetic locators and CAT & Genny equipment.
• Working knowledge of PAS 128 standards and utility survey methodologies.
• Experience interpreting survey results and recording underground service information.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other surveying software.
• Understanding of health and safety around underground services and live sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking underground utility detection and mapping surveys to PAS 128 standards.
• Using GPR, EM locators and CAT & Genny to identify buried services.
• Locating and mapping utilities (gas, water, electricity, telecoms, drainage).
• Reviewing records and interpreting findings for discrepancies.
• Recording and producing utility drawings and reports.
• Identifying hazards and project conflicts and advising on investigations.
• Liaising with clients and site teams to ensure safe, timely surveys.
