Job summary

Moon Recruitment is seeking an experienced Utility Surveyor to join our growing survey team across the UK. You’ll deliver utility and topographical surveys using industry-leading techniques and equipment.

The role involves locating underground utilities, producing CAD drawings from survey data, post-processing GPR data, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to QA/QC and project delivery.

Qualifications

• MUST have 2+ years as Utility Surveyor.
• Experience with GPR and electromagnetic locating techniques.
• Experience using CAD software and producing CAD drawings from survey data.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking utility and/or topographical surveys.
• Locating underground utilities using EM locators and GPR.
• Carrying out manhole lifting, observations and measurements.
• Using Total Station and GPS/GNSS equipment.
• Producing utility survey drawings and reports.
• Producing CAD drawings from survey data.
• Post-processing GPR data.
• Maintaining and managing survey equipment.
• Supporting QA/QC compliance and company standards.
• Troubleshooting and resolving on-site issues.
• Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members.
• Contributing to the development of the survey department.
