Berkeley Group Plc is seeking a Utility Coordinator/Manager to lead planning, procurement and delivery of utility infrastructure on residential developments from land purchase through to completion. You will ensure capacity, diversions and connections align with project programmes and budgets, while coordinating with utility providers, contractors and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience managing utility infrastructure for residential development.
• Knowledge of electricity, water, wastewater, gas and telecom connection processes.
• Experience managing utility enquiries, applications, tenders and contractor appointments.
• Knowledge of utility diversion works, statutory approvals and utility provider requirements.
• Strong project management, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Commercial awareness, including budget and contract management.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assess utility constraints and infrastructure requirements for new developments.
• Obtain budget estimates, capacity assessments and technical information from utility providers.
• Develop utility delivery and procurement strategies.
• Manage utility tenders, evaluate submissions and appoint contractors.
• Coordinate utility designs with engineering, highways and development proposals.
• Manage utility diversions and infrastructure delivery.
• Monitor installation programmes and resolve delays affecting timelines.
• Attend project meetings and provide utility expertise throughout delivery.
• Manage relationships with utility companies, independent connection providers, multi-utility contractors, consultants, local authorities and contractors.
• Prepare and monitor utility budgets, costs and commitments.
• Review invoices, variations and final accounts.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Ensure utility works comply with legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
