Job summary

Doocey Group is a long-established family-run utility and civil engineering contractor based in the Black Country. The role focuses on installing multi-utilities across a portfolio of projects, managing customer relations, staff and contractors, and ensuring safe, on-specification work delivered on programme.

You will supervise assets, ensure correct methods, risk management and record-keeping, and provide technical guidance to clients and teams to maintain high standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a similar civil engineering role.
• Self-driven with a strong safety and compliance mindset.
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and manage client relations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead site meetings with Client to discuss safety, standards and work programming.
• Ensure timely completion of required SHEQ documentation.
• Explain and implement Doocey Group requirements and technical standards to client and workforce.
• Brief Clients and site staff on specifications, installation methods, and material storage.
• Supervise network asset construction to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Record assets accurately and manage variations and site diaries.
• Provide technical advice to Clients, Contractors and employees.
• Maintain productivity and budget adherence across projects portfolio.

NRSWA supervisory card

SMSTS competency

NEBOSH Construction Certificate

GCSEs Grade 9-4 or equivalent

SCO Qualifications

Safe Control of Mains Connections (Water) – Senior Competency
