Job summary

Lanes Group Plc is hiring a Civils Operative for the Aldwarke, Rotherham area to support civil engineering and drainage works. You will perform groundwork, pipe installation, repairs and site maintenance while adhering to safety standards and company procedures.

You will operate machinery, maintain tools, document work on tablets, and ensure on-site and off-site activities comply with client requirements. Overtime and competitive pay offered; full-time hours are 47.5 per week.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license required.
• Civils background ideally from utilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction.
• Install and maintain over-pumping systems and maintain safe excavations with installation of ground support.
• Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet.
• Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness.
