Partnering Health Group (PHL) is recruiting a Clinical Manager for Sunderland Royal UTC to lead the clinical team and develop new pathways while maintaining high patient care standards.
The role requires an experienced nurse or paramedic with independent prescribing and UTC/ED background, plus weekend and management shift coverage to support the team and service delivery.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and competent Clinical Manager (CM) to become part of our team at the Sunderland Royal urgent treatment centre (UTC). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician to lead the clinical team and continue to deliver a consistent high standard of patient care within the department. The successful applicant should be a registered nurse or paramedic with an excellent level of experience and knowledge of minor illness or injury presentations, from either an urgent care or emergency department background. The applicant should be an independent prescriber and have a good skill set that can contribute to the clinical expertise in the department. The role will involve working closely with the UTC leadership team to progress the department in developing new clinical pathways, agreed projects, and management tasks. As the UTC continues to recruit roles for paramedics and nurses, the CM will also be responsible for leading in the training and mentoring of newer staff. The role will involve working clinical hours in the treatment room to not only support the team, but lead by example. There is an expectation this will also involve working some weekends and supporting the team during busy periods while on management shifts. The successful applicant should have a high degree of ability to work well as part of team, but also autonomously without regular supervision. Partnering Health Group (PHL) are an established and expanding healthcare organisation responsible for providing a variety of urgent and primary health care services across the UK and are delighted to be providing the UTC in Sunderland. We provide high quality, safe services which improve the health, wellbeing, and independence of the people we care for. We deliver these services to our community so you will feel a real sense of achievement and that your work makes a difference to local peoples lives.
